Create a public API.
A public API would make lots of new features possible - people could implement sync with several software suites, create mobile clients (iPhone would be greate, Java ME even better), create new tasks in quicksilver or commandline. I would personally choose RESTfull web services, but it is definittely not the only way to go.

Sync with Google Calendar
If you add dates then to automatically sync the due date into Google Calendar would be brilliant.

Basic version for mobile browsers
My mobile is 3g but only has standard xhtml strict browser and small screen. It would be great if there was a really cut down version of the site optimised for mobile access.

mark project as done
It would be nice to be able to mark a project as done rather than having to delete it. How satisfying it will be to look at the list of completed projects!

Allow GTD to receive incoming email tasks
It would be very handy for GTD to receive email with tasks in the subject line via email. Remember the Milk does this but they do not have the robust project feature which allows for better tracking and sorting. I use Jott.com a lot and would like to call in a task to my list while driving down the road.
Thanks and keep up the good work!

Ability to save Note Info with an action
I often find while an action is in progress that something comes up and I want a place to put that information. It would be ideal to be able to put it with the action itself. This also happens when I complete an item. Sometimes I want to note what happened, related details.

converting a task to a project
I think it would be nice to have a single-click "convert to project" for tasks. Often-times tasks that seemed simple at first turns out to be more involved.

Use a recycle bin instead of trash
Occasionally when flying around in the SimpleGTD interface, I've hit the trash icon instead of the "move" icon when I intended to move something up or down a list or to another context. Currently when that happens, that item is gone forever, and- here's the embarassing part- I don't even remember what it was! A recycle bin, periodically emptied to trash, would easily solve this without making the application any more clunky or complicated.
56 votesI am planning to show a confirmation popup just like the ones shown when deleting contexts and projects, should solve this problem without a recycle bin.

Add "Waiting For" and "Someday/Maybe" tabs
Add a "Waiting For" tab so I can say "Waiting For x" and add a context of "Bob" and a date. Also a "Someday/Maybe" tab for non-active projects.

make simplegtd a google gadget
I use igoogle for my home page and have linked programs that I regularly use on that page. Make it a google gadget and I could immediately go to town on my action list when I open my browser! I love Simple GTD.

[Sequencing] After "done": insert first inactive action ...
... of the project.
I really like a feature of ThinkingRock: When you finished a NA of a project and choosed "sequencing" in the settings, the first (inactive) action of that project comes automatically into the NA list.36 votes -

Simplyfy simplegtd: Project tree (also for printing)
At the moment there are two types of pages around projects:
One list with all the names of all projects.
And several lists, where each one contains all actions of one project.It is a lot faster to browse through several projects, when they appear as a tree.
+project 1
++action 1.1
++action 1.2
+project 2
++action 2.1
++action 2.2A nice and and important effect:
When there's a project tree, it is easy to offer a print option.
At the moment there's no way at all to print out all actions of all projects.
For exampel, when you like…25 votes -
be able to print the project list like you can the next actions screen
It would be great if I could print up a list of my open projects just like I can print all of my next actions.

Send Task Reminders via Email or SMS
Some of my tasks must occur at a certain time eg. pick up the kids from school or phone client. It would be nice to have the option to turn on task reminders on selective NEXT ACTION items. When checked maybe a drop down menu would show 5/15/30min, 1/2/3-12hr, 1-14day time interval choices.
Yahoo Calendar sends SMS reminders to my phone, but it is the only feature I use! I would really like to see this in SimpleGTD.
Keep up the great work!
Thanks.

Print like Pocketmod
Synchronizing with the zoo of smartphones/pdas will remain a vision.
Cheap access to the net everywhere (evernet) will come in the fare future.
So at the moment the user has to print out the nextactions and the project lists, when he likes to use them mobile.The most handy way to carry printed information in you pocket is the "pocket mod": http://pocketmod.com/
It is nothing else, than a smart way to position content on a sheet of paper, fold it in a smart way and get a little booklet.
My wish is to get a function "print as booklet" in…
